In today's day of age, it seems to be getting harder and harder to catch a breath! Studies have shown that the world's overall health has dropped by nearly 8%! That's almost 10%! Obesity and Diabetes is raging throughout America without any hope in sight. While you might enjoy a chip or two on the big game day and cheer for your favorite team, your heart is being put on the bench!
With this horrible reality we are facing, some readers might find themselves hopeless - "How the heck do I stay healthy and have more energy?" you're probably asking. Well, Scuzz decided to reach out to some nutritionists to see what they have to say! With their helpful scientific info, we've created a top 7 list of all the foods you need to include into your diet to stay fit and in check, for an ever increasingly disasterous world.
1. Raisins

Studies at the technical college of Seneca Mississippi have concluded that raisins, particularly GRAPE raisins, are extraordinarily healthy and good for you. The nutritionists say that the little dried up fellas are chock full of sweet goodness and are fun to eat! You can toss em' up in the air and catch em in your mouth or play little games with your friends by seeing who can throw the most raisins into the other persons mouth.
2. Grass

Michelle Obama said it best: "If it's green, it's good for you." and what is a better source of 'good for you' than the thing we can find easiest and in plentiful amounts? GRASS! That's right - any sort of everyday ordinary grass has all the green vitamins and stuff that you need to keep going. If you've ever driven past a pasture or farm and seen some cows grazing, you might want to pull out your notebook and pen (to take notes). While the nutritionists didn't mention grass, I thought it was important for me to take some liberties and put it as number 2 on the list. The former first lady said it and I've seen first hand accounts of larger animals than us eat it and maintain a healthy life (before being slaughtered and butchered).
On top of it's amazing nutritional benefits, the fact that it is so readily available in today's harsh economy makes it an easy dinner for the family. Big outdoor suppliers such as Lowes and Home Depot sell huge slabs of grass for like $2 a pop! - or you can buy the seed and grow some yourself. Nonetheless, it's not only good for your body, but good to show it to the big corporations that we can survive without McDonald!
You can also support your local community by mowing lawns yourself and keeping the leftover chuff for dinner, or buy the stuff bulk from other lawn mowing companies. Think of all the delicious recipes you can make! Grass soup, Grass sandwich, Grass infused water.
3. Sugar

The nutrition people and some other WebMD pages i've read made it a very clear and crucial point: We need sugar to have energy! That's right, sugar IS energy! Once I found this out I started taking tablespoons of sugar supplements every day. Morning, Afternoon and Night - up to two or three spoon-fulls each rotation!
Eating sugar by the spoon-full is easy and super cute, because you don't need to have any complicated recipes or messy dishes. You can buy big bags of sugar at your local grocery outlet and simply keep a bag in the car, house, or office for everyday use. I put the sugar in my stanely thermos so that I have super tasty water throughout the day. While it's super beneficial, I still get a little peckish and stop at chic-fil-a or something to get my munch on.
4. Ice Cubes

"Staying hydrated its crucial to survive for any warm-blooded mammalian animal." - I think all the scientists say it. Your own general practitioner will say it as well. It's common knowledge throughout the scientific and health/wellness community that water is super duper important. But can we face the facts that are written on the wall? Water is BORING! Snorzeville! While I've already went over how to make water fun and tasty, this little tip can make water crunchy and yummy.
Ice cubes provide all the essential nutrients found in water, along side with having a bit more texture and crunch. Let's say it's a hot day outside - keep some in your pocket or a little ziplock baggie and munch on them as you take a walk. Keeping a cooler or little insulated lunchbox is helpful to keep the ice from melting.
You can give your ice a flavor blast by adding your favorite seasonings or sauces. Salt, pepper, paprika, ANYTHING GOES! There are so many combinations and ideas to throw at. Maybe even toss some Ice Cubes in Sugar and Grass to make a sweet and savory dish! Super fun!
5. Seed Oils

You've seen it in the stores on every shelf - Low fat this, low fat that! A bunch of marketing towards propaganda against fat. Scientists now say that fat is good - but certain types of fats are good. I'm not sure which ones, because theres like four of them on the back of the bottle! But I can assume that the more it has per bottle, the better it is for you, because why would you sell more of something that isn't good for the customer?
Seed oils are a super fun and tasty way to get your fat, and they come in all sorts of flavors. Corn oil, Canola oil, Olive oil, Sunflower oil, peanut oil! Yum! I like to buy a whole bunch and mix em up and add it to my water or toss it in my ice cubes. I tried frying my ice cubes in it while hot and well, it caused a huge house fire and I almost died! But I do feel quite energized.
6. Lard

Fat is good (some of it), so say the scientists - so why not enjoy the fattiest fat of all the fat? LARD! Yum! This tasty creamy stuff is about as good and fatty as it comes. You can get big ol' jars of the stuff and put it on bread or grass or ice cubes and boy howdy does it taste good! I tried to fry the ice cubes in this stuff while it was hot on a pan, and it caused another fire. I don't think I'm going to try to fry any more ice cubes because it never comes out like chicken. I don't know why, but hey, I ain't a scientist! If I have any advice, don't fry water!
Lard is super dense in what I call "good calories" because it's fatty and some fats are good so I called them good calories. Bad calories would be like french fries - good calories is like ice cubes and grass. Lard is a good calorie.

So hopefully with this list you can find some newfound energy and vigor seeping into your life, and maybe a little bit of money in your wallet! Thanks to science, we can start saving money and living better!
