Spoiler Alert: They’re firing the original voice actor!
Robert Iger is back in black as Disney’s CEO and he is looking to acquire some new IP’s (Intellectual Properties)
After buying Bamtech and 20th century fox it seems as if those large juicy companies weren’t juicy enough for
CEO Robert Iger.

After buying family guy and the Simpson, Mr. Iger had now conceived the idea on what comedic yellow fellow to poach next.
SpongeBob is a show about a yellow sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea. He works a 9-5 at the krusty krab a local burger eatery. SpongeBob doesn’t act alone however he has his best friend Gary who is a sea star that lives under a rock. Which is a clever joke for the adult readers because it is to show that the belevelevelent Sea Star is not smart.

The show has been on for many years, and has lived on Nickelodeon, a Cartoon Network for kids. However due to the new streaming craze, SpongeBob May now be on Disney+ and it seems as if it is being sold for a merger 40 Million.

Paramount CEO has claimed that they don’t make nearly enough profit as they used to with the titular sponge.
Meaning selling for such a low cost would actually quote “stop the bleeding”
We talked to a business analyst
Mr Sanjay Gharde and here is what he said.
“When a company has an IP or an intellectual property, it has what we call a finishing point, where after a certain amount of years it starts bleeding money from the company. SpongeBob has been on for twenty five years. The fan base has outgrown him, and everyone has moved on.. you’re probably thinking, why would they sell SpongeBob for 40 Million?
It’s because if other companies see that the IP is falling it’ll be harder to sell for its public market value. Hence why they’re selling it for a small 40 Million”
Malcom Pierce the head of animation at Disney has said they will be taking SpongeBob into new direction with a full reboot.
Firstly they will be firing
Tom Kenny the voice of SpongeBob to replace the actor with a lesser know actor of the likes of Tom Holland potentially.
Ryan Reynolds has also thrown his hat into the race along with Nolan North, and mark Hamill.

Mark Hamill said the “The pay will be better than any voice work I’ve done before. That’s why I would like to play SpongeBob”

Ed Norton has also chimed in
@ I can’t believe they are replacing dpi NBC snob I remember when I was a child”
The phone died that’s was conducting the Norton interview
I can understand SpongeBob paying better than any of the actors previous works.
With Disney buying SpongeBob, this could mean that the titular Sponge may just have a shot at replacing the mouse himself!

Do you think Disney will do SpongeBob Justice?
