I know...it's crazy to imagine a world where we can't grab a quick ketchup burger to slide down the gullet with the use of our car, but believe it or not that just might be a reality in the near future.

While it hasn't yet been completely confirmed, Scuzz insiders have revealed that the big wigs over at the McHQ have been running the numbers, and let's just say that Ronald isn't happy. The fact is, the Drive-Thru mechanism isn't profitable nor eco-friendly in our modern society.

McDonald's (NYSE:MCD) shares have fallen drastically in the past few years, and their economic experts point to their car-dependent sale model. If we're being honest, does anyone go inside a McDonalds anymore? No one has the time! But it turns out that the stress of the modern day-to-day rush is putting customers on the McEdge!

Customers complaining of long drive-thru lines and being told to "Pull up and wait until the order is ready" is not what they're signing up for when they go to the best fast food chain ever.
"I go there everyday and I'm really starting to see the damages on my wallet. Driving there and then waiting in these long lines is just too much to handle. They really need to get rid of these Drive-thrus and think of a new solution.." - Andy, McDonalds customer
So is McDonalds really getting rid of the Drive-Thru any time soon? Probably not, but SpaceX founder and Tesla mastermind Elon Musk has weighed in on the topic.

"The fact is that if we wish to enjoy McDonalds at a faster pace in the future, I believe robotics and AI will make the process much easier. Perhaps instead of having a McDonalds at every street corner, we can imagine a world where there is a McDonalds robot in your house, ready to make you McDonalds whenever you want. I think that's the goal we should aim for and I am willing to provide the resources if the McDonalds CEO and Shareholders are on board..."
For now, we can rest easy knowing we can still go through the drive-thru when we are in a pinch, but the future is uncertain.
